Harvest ink drawings

These sepia ink on paper drawings were made over the bank holiday weekend where I found the nicest view of the farm. Now it’s been a while since I’ve picked up my nib pen and ink, thought it would be a less messy alternative to oils, and suited the weather and lovely textured fields. (I could up and run for shelter without much notice!).

A rainy summer

These small oil paintings were made in situ on my boyfriends’ family’s farm during harvest time. I keep going back every few weekends so hoping that they will improve – please be kind, I don’t do this often and it’s a messy business stood in a field with a portable easel and palette of paints.. There are paw marks, flies and allsorts on them!

The two below are watercolours on paper, one from a great vantage point sat on a hay bale stack and the other in a field of stubble! As you can tell the weather kept looking like it was about to pour, which it did in the end, which resulted in my earlier barn drawings. 

Blueys

There's nothing nicer than a dresser covered in blue and white china, so the first one here is a bit of a homage to that! The little paintings in the plates are scenes of the rooms of a friend's house in Devon.

Bright and flighty

A right old eclectic bunch, my first venturing into geometrics. Like a few brights (occasionally)!!
