A rainy summer


These small oil paintings were made in situ on my boyfriends’ family’s farm during harvest time. I keep going back every few weekends so hoping that they will improve – please be kind, I don’t do this often and it’s a messy business stood in a field with a portable easel and palette of paints.. There are paw marks, flies and allsorts on them!

The two below are watercolours on paper, one from a great vantage point sat on a hay bale stack and the other in a field of stubble! As you can tell the weather kept looking like it was about to pour, which it did in the end, which resulted in my earlier barn drawings.
