Delighted to see my work on a new spring range of beautiful fine bone china mugs and cups for the RSPB in collaboration with Roy Kirkham and Co Ltd... Can't wait to get my hands on them for the kitchen!

Hand-painted anniversary mugs

Just over a year ago, both my sister and I were getting married and visiting this week has brought back some happy memories! I found some mugs and a card I hand-painted for my sister as a thank you on her dresser, and don't think I shared them here at the time. Super easy and lovely thank you gift inspired by the Burleigh asiatic pheasant crockery designs.

Islamic ceramics at the British Museum

Friday trip to the British Museum, my drawings weren't worth sharing but these ceramics are just wonderful. I always seem to end up in the Islamic section, where there's such vibrant colours, shapes and patterns!

 

Crossing Cultures at the Ashmolean, Oxford

So this weekend I made a trip to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford- really well worth a visit, a veritable treasure trove of pattern and colour! Amazing ceramics and artifacts from the Asian Crossroads and West Meets East Galleries, from Indian and Islamic art to works from the Mediterranean, China and Japan.

 

                         

 

  

V&A Ceramics

To me these are some of the most beautiful things in the V&A Museum, South Kensington. If you have the chance, pop up to the top floors where you can find rooms full upon rooms full of the most exquisite ceramics, tiles and objects. If you can't wait, have a look at the collection online http://collections.vam.ac.uk - though there's nothing quite like seeing them in all their glory en masse! (Apologies for the lack of references I will try and rectify asap..)
