Deadly nightshade patterns

So I am starting to try and work out some patterns for a friends' murder mystery games packaging.. this might be a little too pretty but it's a start! Watch this space, more drawings to follow..

Islamic ceramics at the British Museum

Friday trip to the British Museum, my drawings weren't worth sharing but these ceramics are just wonderful. I always seem to end up in the Islamic section, where there's such vibrant colours, shapes and patterns!

 

Sicily landscape drawings

I was rifling through an old sketch book yesterday and came across these drawings which I had forgotten all about - thought I would share a little bit of summer and some very happy memories. My boyfriend and I spent a couple of weeks in Sicily, one week working on an organic farm in the mountains - it was just so beautiful so I spent a lot of time drawing outdoors, here they are.

Here we go again with a few more source drawings for patterns, a little more muted in palette, think might be interesting when in repeat! These are to be re-worked in photoshop, into repeat patterns..

Hand-painted cards

Love is in the air and I've been busily making cards galore for my lovely friends, birthdays, thank you's and of course my valentine! They're gouache on paper, drawn from my imagination & source florals.
